6 months later

Wednesday was Noey's 6-month birthday and she is the sweetest little thing. The last six months definitely feel like a blur. A blink of the eye and suddenly we have a sturdy baby in front of us who splashes in the bathtub and can almost sit up without support. Those newborn days are gone and, though we miss them at times, it is an incredible feeling to watch Olivia make Noelle laugh without even trying. Noey just loves to watch her big sister. They already are wonderful friends and I know we have so much fun ahead of us.

It is getting to be so fun to watch Liv & Noey interact. Liv can make Noelle so incredibly happy by talking to her and dancing for her. And you can tell Liv is very proud that her baby sister loves her so much.

Happy Halloween!

It didn't take long to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood, since most people don't participate (one neighbor said we were her first visitors in 9 years), but those who had their lights on and doors open got the special treat of oooh-ing and aaah-ing over the loveliest little princess and caterpillar in town.

Then we headed over to Poppy & JoJo's to join the fun over there. It was a great night (and so fun that Liv is finally old enough to be making some real memories).

In case you were wondering, Liv's best friends at school are Olivia K. (in purple), Gunnar (with the blue sleeves), and Claire (super-short bangs). She also talks a lot about Bryce (front row, second from the right, with the glasses from Laura's childhood).

We dabbled a bit in cloth diapering when Liv was about a year old, but with a Bethel friend of ours creating a new line of parent-friendly cloth diapers, we decided to jump back into it. And now that we have some great diapers, it is kind of fun to do!

And Noey seems to appreciate how soft they are.

Enjoying the first days of Autumn

Poppy & JoJo took us to pick out some pumpkins over the weekend and we got lost in a corn maze along the way. It was a crisp, lovely day together and Liv had a blast. (Two years ago at the same farm, Liv was terrified of the pumpkins and wouldn't let us set her down. Boy, have things changed! We could hardly keep up with her.)

Liv was dancing on the straw bales and suddenly disappeared between them. Luckily, Poppy was there to save her, while JoJo got her game on and enjoyed some corn-hole.

Noelle rolled from her tummy to her back today!  

Liv is enjoying how interactive her baby sister is becoming and Noelle is loving how entertaining her big sister can be. Noelle now smiles widely whenever she can watch Liv being her busy little self. She especially loves Liv's dancing.

What a beautiful wedding!

There are so many lovely pictures to post from the weekend. Everything was beautiful! But this is one of my favorites (taken by Laura's good friend, Sarah Beebe). Laura looks amazing and Dad is so proud.
